Dedication
March of 1989 during my
very first church service, my parents dedicated my life to the Lord.
Twenty-six years later, my parents have kept their promise;
standing behind me, helping me fulfill the call of God on my life.
As I think of the word
dedication which is the quality of being committed to a task or
purpose, I wonder how many people are truly dedicated to the cause
of Christ no matter the cost.
In order to be dedicated to someone or something, we have to
love whatever or whomever we are committed to.
For example if you love sports, you will be committed to
whatever team you play on or pull for.
If you are committed to playing sports, you will do whatever
is necessary to bring your team to victory.
That is the same
way it is in life, in order to be committed to the Lord, Jesus
Christ, you have to love Him.
Mark 12:30 (KJV)
30
And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with
all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and
with all thy strength: this is the first commandment.
So
if we love Him, we will do whatever it takes to obey Him and keep
His commandments.
John 14:15 (KJV)
15
If ye love me, keep my commandments.
We will also do whatever it takes to get His message of
redemption spread abroad to a lost and dying world.
Luke 14:23 (KJV)
23
And the lord said unto the servant, Go out
into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in,
that my house may be filled.
If we keep on pressing toward the mark, one day, we will receive the
victory and win the prize of life everlasting where there are no
more wheelchairs.
Thank you to all those who are dedicated to the Lord and stand
behind Jacob Berry Ministries financially and in prayer.
You make what we do possible!
